Hi Rianne! We chose to interview you today since we both think you make lessons a lot more fun! Here are our questions:

Why did you come work at the Meergronden?
I wanted to work close to my home, and I wanted to teach English, but history then got added on to it which I like.

When did you start teaching and why?
I started teaching at 23, so 2016 and I became a teacher because my high school mentor was amazing. He made us felt seen, so when I picked up a profession, I wanted to be my own version of him.

What is your favorite thing to teach?
History! History is my all-time favorite and things in the third year I tech wars, so I like to do the world wars.

How did you come up with the way you teach?
You guys spend a lot of time listening to us and working and I feel that doing lots of homework doesn’t help you out. So, if you pay attention, I think you’ll be fine.

What do you do in your free time?
I go on a lot of walks, I read all the time, I’m teaching myself the guitar, I nap because I’m an old person.

What your favorite thing from the Meergronden?
My kids really, I think we have great kids, the school’s atmosphere is very nice and friendly.
